Additional Staff Experience

Arctic Village Water and Sewer Treatment Facilities, North Slope Borough, AK – Mechanical systems for an indoor sewage treatment facility, sewage vacuum station, and an indoor water treatment facility in the villages of Point Hope, Point Lay, Atqasuk, Nuiqsut, and Kaktovik villages.  Systems serve hazardous environments, buildings, outdoor reservoirs, and permafrost buried piping.  Central systems include boilers, air handling, waste heat recovery, utility water pumping systems, fire pumps, and emergency electrical generation systems.   Systems are designed to be capable of ventilating hazardous Class 1, Division 2 process spaces at up to twelve air changes per hour with an outdoor ambient temperature of -60 degrees F and utility power off line.  Approximate cost of mechanical systems was $35 million.

Public Laundry Facility Remodel, Rampart, AK – Mechanical engineer for a major HVAC and plumbing remodel for a public laundry and showering facility.  Facility includes hydronically heated clothing dryers, a standby diesel generator, and a boiler plant.

Fish Hatchery Facility, Prince William Sound, AK – Mechanical engineer for hydronic heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems for a new 9000 sq. ft. bunkhouse and hatchery raceway building constructed as part of the expansion of the Main Bay Fish Hatchery.

Fed Ex Ramp Office at Anchorage Airport, Anchorage, AK – Mechanical systems for an office facility located on the airport ramp.

Girdwood Waste Water Treatment Facility Upgrade, Girdwood, AK – Responsible for the design of HVAC systems to upgrade ventilation in hazardous Class 1, Division 2 spaces for the existing wastewater treatment plant.

Icicle Seafood’s Dining Hall and Locker Room Facility, Seward, AK – Mechanical systems for an 8,100 sq. ft. dining hall, commercial kitchen, and locker room facility.

Red Dog Mine Improvements, Kotzebue, AK – Responsible for the design of HVAC systems to upgrade ventilation for a community wastewater treatment plant at a remote lead-zinc open pit mine in Alaska’s Arctic region.  Special design considerations were required for harsh arctic conditions.  Design included hydronic heating and special air handling systems.
