Brian Roetcisoender, PE, LEED® AP, President

In Brian’s thirty plus years as a mechanical engineer, he has designed process piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems for commercial, retail, manufacturing, municipal facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, K-12 and higher education facilities, offices, multifamily residential, senior housing, laboratories, hospitals, natatoriums, and industrial shops. His expertise includes HVAC systems for standby power generation, the design of facilities dealing with the storage and handling of hazardous materials and environments, and design challenges associated with new construction, building renovation, and facility conversion. He has worked on projects ranging in location from Nevada to the Arctic Ocean.
Steve Bloedel, Vice President
Steve is the manager of production and design at HVE. In his twenty five years of experience, he has worked for a number of local mechanical consulting firms and successfully completed hundreds of projects covering nearly every area of the mechanical consulting market in locations throughout the region. Currently, Steve manages the design and delivery of many of HVE’s projects which include HVAC, plumbing and piping systems, BIM modeling and construction support. He is proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit and has been involved with multiple Navis works and other clash detection charrettes. Steve’s project background includes multi-family housing, schools, hospitals, churches, retail developments, tenant improvements, commercial kitchens, medical clinics, senior housing developments, park projects, and mixed-use projects.
Dustin ‘DJ’ Johnson, Associate
DJ has worked in various roles within the built environment from construction to consulting. The last decade of DJ’s career has been within the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and engineering sector working as a consultant or directly for the contractor. His experience includes high-rise and mid-rise commercial and multifamily, assisted living, daycare, K-12 and higher education, urban center and residential development, restaurants, retail, commercial office, warehouse, infrastructure and government, hospital, clinics and laboratories, and various types of tenant improvements. More recently, DJ’s career focus has been in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in plumbing and HVAC with a value engineering and constructability approach. DJ has a pulse on current trends in green technology, sustainability, and the evolution of energy codes with an eye for implementation on projects.
